If anyone know the Rough Riders, they have been known for their "D". With that being said putting up 41 points wasn't enough to defeat the Rage as they fall 46-41. This was actually a great game win or lose for all parties involved (players, fans, officials, Dance Team and even the custodian that monitored the game). As I mentioned to our team, it wasn't any one specific thing that lost the meaning offense, defense or special teams. It was because we only practice once a week and there are times when we can't get everyone there. Being able to take care of mishaps comes with repetitions. You will have that in leagues like this. My question from here is what are we going to do to improve? Karl Hoffman was 24-52 for 357 yards, 5 touchdowns and 3 picks. Phillip Ditto and Aaron Woelfel both had 8 catches, both over 100 yards. Brad Rebarcheck had 131 yards rushing, 69 receiving and 3 TD's. The Rage came into the game ranked in the top 3 on offense and defense in 2011. We knew coming into this game that we had a tough fight on our hands. Kevin Suber shined on the "D" with 6 tackles and 2 sacks. The Rough Riders were down as many as 19 points late in the third quarter but rallied to get within 5 points with 1:47 left to play and the ball. Could not capitalize on that possession after being intercepted. Rough Riders fall to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the NEFL. Next game is at home against the Dubuque Bruisers at 3:00pm Thanks again to all the sponsors and fans that attended the game. See you all next week. |
